We were extremely happy that our Arabesque Pattern Ring was featured in the GoodweekendMag in Australia. To our surprise, Nicole Kidman was in Sydney the same week as it was released, and came across the feature. Blown away with the design she, that same day, had her assistant contact us regarding the creation of a bespoke piece for her husband, Keith Urban. The piece was for a very special occasion, which turned out to be his 50th birthday. 

Her simple brief was that she wanted to add to the design either her and her kid's initials, or to have their names written in the design itself. We came up with a few different ideas, from necklaces and bracelets, to cuff bracelets. After going back and forth with different concepts we ended up agreeing to work on designing a ring. 

Loving the Arabesque ring initially, we wanted to keep the same feel, which is one of our signature men's styles of oxidized silver and polished rose gold. This combination gives the piece a very cool rustic rock’ n’ roll feel that would work perfectly for the rock star himself. 

Keeping true to our signature style we came up with this amazing ring which we divided into 6 sections. Nicole and her kid's names were written in a clear readable font. To break the names up, in between each name, we created polished 18ct rose gold filigree work. To give the ring some more depth we also did the inside sleeve out of 18ct rose gold, which really made the oxidized silver pop. Once the sketch was approved, we then created the design in a 3D CAD.

Loving the design sketch that we sent her for approval was one thing, but to then see the finished product was another. She was absolutely blown away by the final piece that we created.
